Introduction to Copper Mine Mineral Processing Production Line

The copper ore beneficiation production line generally adopts a relatively simple process, which involves a stage of grinding, with a fineness of -200 mesh accounting for about 50% to 70%. It involves one rough selection, 2-3 selections, and 1-2 sweeps. If the particle size of copper mineral impregnation is relatively fine, a stage grinding process can be considered. Most ore dressing plants for processing chalcopyrite adopt a stage grinding and separation process of coarse concentrate re grinding and selection, which is essentially a mixing priority flotation process. First, a stage of rough grinding, rough selection, and sweeping is carried out, and then the rough concentrate is further ground and selected to obtain high-grade copper concentrate and sulfur concentrate. Coarse grinding with a fineness of -200 mesh accounts for approximately 45% to 50%, while further grinding with a fineness of -200 mesh accounts for approximately 90% to 95%.

Copper ore beneficiation process flow

The copper ore beneficiation process is divided into three parts:

1. Crushing part: The basic process of crushing ore. Its purpose is to crush the raw ore to an appropriate size, suitable for grinding a portion.

2. Grinding section: The grinding and crushing section further processes the ore to obtain a smaller size for use with flotation separation materials.

3. Flotation section: The flotation process/important process for upgrading copper ore. Chemical reagents will be added to the mixer/agitator to facilitate chemical reactions.

The mined ore is initially crushed by a jaw crusher, and after being crushed to a reasonable fineness, it is uniformly fed into a ball mill through a hoist and feeder. The ball mill then crushes and grinds the ore.

The fine ore material ground by the ball mill enters the next process: classification. The spiral classifier uses the principle that the sedimentation rate in liquid varies with the specific gravity of solid particles to clean and classify ore mixtures. The mineral mixture that has been washed and graded is separated by magnetic and mechanical forces when passing through a magnetic separator due to the different specific magnetization coefficients of various minerals. After preliminary separation by a magnetic separator, the mineral particles are fed into a flotation machine, and different drugs are added according to the characteristics of the minerals to separate them from other substances.

After the required minerals are separated, due to their high moisture content, they need to be preliminarily concentrated by a thickener and then dried by a dryer to obtain dry minerals. The grade of copper concentrate powder reaches 45%.
