Introduction to Iron Ore

There are over ten types of iron minerals in nature. The iron minerals with industrial significance mainly include magnetite, hematite, and pseudo hematite; Next are siderite, limonite, etc. Iron ore is an important raw material for steel production enterprises, and natural iron ore is gradually selected for iron through processes such as crushing, grinding, magnetic separation, flotation, and gravity separation.

Iron ore beneficiation process flow

Iron ore beneficiation can have various process flows based on the type and properties of the ore. Mineral processing plants generally use a three-stage crushing process of coarse crushing, medium crushing, and fine crushing to crush iron ore. A jaw crusher is commonly used for coarse crushing, while a cone crusher is used for medium and fine crushing. Through rough crushing of ore, it is then crushed into a suitable particle size for entering the ball mill through medium and fine crushing.

Iron ore is uniformly sent by a vibrating feeder to a jaw crusher for rough crushing. The rough crushed material is conveyed by a belt conveyor to a coarse crushing cone for further crushing. The crushed material is then transported to a vibrating screen for screening. The material that meets the particle size requirements is transported to the finished material pile by a belt conveyor; Materials that do not meet the particle size requirements for finished products are returned from the vibrating screen for crushing or fine cone crushing, forming a closed loop. The particle size of finished products can be combined and graded according to user needs.
